MASTER REUSE SYSTEM—CONSTRUCTION OF LAND O’ LAKES STORAGE RESERVOIR

The Pasco County Purchasing Department will receive sealed bids until 3:00 p.m., local time (our clock), on DECEMBER 22, 2006, in the Pasco County Purchasing Department, 8919 Government Drive, New Port Richey, Florida. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the above-stated time and date. All interested parties are invited to attend. Bidders shall submit one (1) original of the submitted bid.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Land O’ Lakes Wastewater Treatment Plant, 6003 Parkway Boulevard, Land O’ Lakes, Florida, on DECEMBER 1, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Site inspections may be made following the pre-bid meeting. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to allow potential bidders and opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification of the bid documents if necessary. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

The work consists of construction of a new reclaimed water (RCW) storage reservoir with a slurry wall embedded in the embankment and only the interior side slopes lined with two (2) layers of 60 mil HDPE liner, which is referred to as the “Slurry Wall Alternative” and a new off-spec (reject) water storage pond completely lined (bottom and interior side slopes) with one (1) layer of 60 mil HDPE liner at the County’s existing Land O’ Lakes (LOL) Subregional Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) site. This project is estimated to cost $10,100,000.00.

Bid, payment, performance surety and insurance are required for this project. Please refer to the applicable bid document for complete details. The Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any and all bids received.
